A thousand horses band biography
A Thousand Horses | Illinois Times
Frontman Michael Hobby (23) and lead guitarist Bill Satcher (22), the co-founders and creative conspirators of A Thousand Horses, have been crafting rock music infused with traditional American flavors of the southeastern US for over half a decade. A Thousand Horses blends blues, R and B, and good old slashing guitars, bass & drums in an elixir that comes out tasting of Small Faces and “Exile”-era Rolling Stones.
The two became good friends after meeting in a local music store back in 2003 in their hometown of Newberry, SC. With a mutual admiration for Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers and a slew of other classic rock records, it wasn't before long the first semblance of what is now A Thousand Horses started taking shape. Having cut their teeth in the southern rock club circuit, Michael and Bill never let an empty room slow them down.
This is a band founded upon the collective love of the creative process. "Mission statements are for high schools and politicians - we A Thousand Horses WIMO
